With your engagement, your creativity and your imagination, you bring the JakArt Festival and the discussion about the place of culture and the arts in Indonesia to the international scene – but more importantly, you bring arts to the local people in Jakarta.
 
 

Jakart has been a committed and staunch member of AAPAF, and I would like to salute (the organizers) for their tireless efforts in sustaining Jakart in spite of the challenges they face, and in their own support given to new Indonesian festivals in Bali, Yogyakarta, and Solo. Secondly, we welcome this valuable opportunity to meet and be acquainted with the work of artists, cultural workers and supporters in Jakarta.
 

  

I loved the performances I saw after our performance last Friday night. It was a wonderful array of creative and talented displays.
 

JakArt has carved out and fulfilled ambitious cultural programmes that are critical towards encouraging the social, educational and cultural wellness of  Indonesian communities. Their education work in particular in creating awareness of the wider cultural identities within and beyond Indonesia is an important contribution to Indonesian society.
 
  Please come to NTT more often so that you can motivate the children here to appreciate classical music, to behave well and stay away from violence
 

I have greatly admired the dedication, commitment and hardwork …. in developing the Jakart Festival and its activities over the last decade. They have persevered in sustaining the cultural and educational activities of the Jakart Festival in spite of the immense financial and logistical challenges encountered. They have succeeded in doing so primarily through their strong network with artists and educational institutions, their resourcefulness, creative inventiveness, as well as through their own courage and personal sacrifice.
 
  Thank you so so much for the incredible opportunity you gave us to travel to your country and participate in your festival. It was an experience we will never forget.

I get goose bumps when I watch the concert that is played with so many notes and that seems to be so complicated. I wonder how they were able to study and then produce this beautiful and unique music.
 

  

I must say, I think you all are the most creative, innovative and imaginative people I have met. It was a pleasure and an honour being involved in JakArt 2008. I wish I could have stayed longer.
